This is just to update the community people about a gathering which took place in the holy city of Makkah on 27-Mar-2008.

Kokan Committee Dammam & Khobar Branch took an initiative to arrange an Umra Trip to coincide with this gathering, organized by brother Mojibollah Duste and his companions.
Brother Abid Khawar and Hafizullah Dandekar took the whole responsibility to make an arrangement of transportation for the people willing to be part of this trip from Dammam, Khobar & Jubail. While brother Mojibollah Duste & Muzammil Kadiri made arrangement for the Accommodation and dinner for all in Makka.
While addressing the gathering, brother Mojibollah thanked everybody for being part of this event and then invited Kokan Committee representatives to express their thoughts and experiences. Nadim Pathan from Jubail spoke about how the committee came into existence almost 5 years back and then expanded to neighboring cities of Dammam and Khobar. Mubashir Kardame further explained the committee's work and emphasized on joining hands wherever we are. Zahid Jamadar expressed his view and appealed people to come on one platform.
Farook Kamran addressed the gathering on behalf of Halka-E-Kokan (Jeddah) and gave brief about their activities. They are basically supplying the books to the Madrasas in kokan for past many years. As stated by him, 80% of the Madrasa Hussainiya, Shriwardhan's requirement is fulfilled by them only, Masha'Allah.
Thereafter, Mojib updated the audience about MIF (Madinatul Ilm Foundation) and E-Kokan project. Dr. Farook Lokhande (Trustee of MIF) talked to the audience on a conference call. He was not able to make his trip to Makkah for visa reason.
This gathering was the first initiative from brother Mojib to bring our community people closer in different parts of Saudi Arabia and Alhamdulillah this was a successful event.
